Liz and Sandy have been doing battle with photos that have been shoved in boxes or getting ruined in old scrape books. Are your precious memories in a tub just waiting to be organized. Grab a scrap book and your photos finally get organized. (judgement free zone- Sandy just found all of her kids school photos and added them to books, 3 of her four children are out of college!)
Do you have DIY a different project at home you can’t seem to get too? Feel free to bring it to this session and work on it while others are playing with pictures!

Do you have photos that you would love to organize into a photo journal? So does Liz- she just got back from a trip to Portugal and is eager to put her photos into some kind of order. Bring your lap top, phone or ipad and join her while she figures things out. No photos- no problem this is an “Open Creative Night” - Do you have DIY projects at home you can’t seem to get to: scrapbooking, home decor, DIY gifts, macrame, decoupage, repurposing and art from found materials or just finally ordering your shutterfly books? Perhaps you’re interested in learning to do something you never did before: painting, mixed media art, making unique cards, holiday décor and ornaments. Well, this is the place to do it!!

Leaf Printing on Tea Towels-Thur May 28
This is the time of year when all of the great leaves are out on our trees and bushes. Larisa is going to show us how to take those leaves and use them to print on tea towels and shirts. Tea towels and paint provided- bring a light colored t-shirt or sweat shirt if you’d like to make a custom fit.

Homemade Vanilla Extract and Herb Vinegar-SOLD OUT
Tired of paying a ton for vanilla extract and also want to give your friends and family something truly special for the holidays? Then join us in making a batch of homemade vanilla extract which needs to “brew” (sit in your cupboard) for 4 to 6 months. Come back in November with your vanilla and we will put it into individual bottles for you to give to your friends and family. Can’t wait that long to experience something delicious? Don’t worry during this work shop we will also be making herb-infused vinegar. You’ll be given a variety of herbs to customize your vinegar such as, tarragon, dill, thyme, basil, rosemary. Want to spice things up add garlic or jalapeno!

Junk journaling- what is it? Come with all your photos, stickers, recipts, tickets, notes and everything you’ve collected from your last trip or semester at school and learn how to put them into an amazing keep sake. We will provide the glue, paper, stamps, cut outs, decorations and guidence and you bring the scrap book you want to put it into. This is something you will treasure for years to come!

Terrarium Building with Deeply Rooted- POSTPONED to JUNE
Join us as we learn and build terrariums. Deeply Rooted Ridgewood’s Little Plant Shop will be bringing the supplies and Master Gardner Sharon Ma will lead the workshop. Every participant will leave with their own terrarium with substrates, terrarium decor and mini plants! Your window ledge is looking bare and needs some green- come and play in the dirt with us! Oh and bonus all participants receive a $5 off coupon for Deeply Rooted Plant Shop in Ridgewood:)

Chunky Yarn Hand Emboridery-Monday, May 11
Have you seen those great sweaters with chunky yarn words on them? They might have the name of a state ( I have OHIO), a college name or even just a fun word like “JOY”- I am currently making one that says SALTY! If you would like to learn how to make a sweater for yourself- or someone else please join us for this VERY easy workshop. Please bring the sweater you would like to embroider and let us know what yarn color you’d like to use so we can make sure we have it ready to go.

This beginner-friendly watercolor workshop is a gentle introduction to painting, with a focus on simple florals and botanicals. We’ll start with a few basics—how to use the brush, mix color, and work with the way watercolor naturally moves—then spend time painting together.
Custom Journal Notebook-Monday May 4
Design a custom journal from cover to cover with space for organizing and spots to write down your thoughts. During this workshop you will be given all the materials to assemble your custom journal, we will have art work for your cover or you can bring something of your own. This is a great custom gift for yourself or someone else.
