FLOC is a space where creativity, community, and connection come together. Whether you’re a seasoned creator, a curious beginner, or simply looking for a welcoming space to explore your creative side, you’ll find your place and your people here.
We are a studio offering inspiring workshops, lectures, crafting meet ups and open hours to use our tools and supplies for your own projects, or comfy chairs to just read a book- all in a low pressure, supportive and helpful environment specifically designed for joy.

Who We Are
Sandy Santangelo, FLOC’s founder, has always brought people together through a shared love of the arts and of community. Over twenty years ago, Sandy and many of FLOC’s board members met as volunteers for an arts based educational program at their children’s elementary schools. Over the years, this group and many others went on to volunteer together on large scale fundraisers and other educational programs always with an eye towards the arts.
What these women loved the most about getting together was meeting and collaborating with fellow creators who might not have met without these shared imaginative projects. When everyone’s children were grown, the group went on to host weekly get togethers in their homes so that everyone could continue to pursue their own creative projects in a collaborative atmosphere. When space became available, Sandy realized a community, creative space could become a reality and she has been hard at work bringing FLOC to life ever since.
Membership Options
Becoming a member gives you access to the FLOC studio during open hours (Mon–Thurs, 5–9 PM), a dedicated space to work on your own projects, storage for your materials, use of our ever-growing inventory of creative supplies, sewing lab, and tool shop — plus access to weekly workshops, lectures, and events.
